If so, you also have the opportunity to gain a valuable education in a few critical subjects in the numismatic hobby: coin conservation, authentication and grading, and digital photography of coins and notes.

The ANA’s Coin Conservation, Authentication, and Grading Seminar will be lead by renowned professional numismatist Brian Silliman. A lifetime member of the ANA, Silliman’s professional career has centered on various aspects of numismatics including grading, conservation, authentication, research, writing, and instruction.
The three-day seminar is described as an intensive course emphasizing the essential skills of conservation, authentication and grading, applicable to any level of collector.
Seminar Date and Time: Aug. 10-12; 9am-5pm
Cost: $350 for ANA members; $450 for non-members.
The second seminar on the schedule is Numismatic Digital Photography. The class will be team taught by Clark Fogg and David Heinrich. Both are lifetime members of the ANA, business owners, leading active members of several numismatic organizations, and prior instructors of this seminar.
During the seminar, participants will learn how to make the best use photography techniques, editing software, digital camera and computer equipment, in photographing coins and notes.

Cost: $250 for ANA members; $350 for non-members
